: Gourd Shakere Making : Netting the Beads Together
|
|
Four Cardinals, first, you should try as much as possible to get four strands tied to each of the end rings. The first two are attached to the top ring at North and East. set the top ring on the gourd and see how far apart the connections have to be for the North and East of the bottom ring, and tie them off using the long help twine ends. Assemble it on to the gourd to tie on the South and West strands.
Filling in between South and West with additional verticals, I left a larger hole open on the North and East sides so the eyes will look out through the emptier side.
Central equator
take a long piece of twine and tie it successively to each vertical strand between the 6th and 7th beads. Take care that you give your bead neat plenty of slack. The gourd should not escape, but the beads need to have plenty of play to make good noise.
Now Go Play It!
